Colonsay Bramble Gin Cocktail
A super simple interpretation of the classic “Bramble” cocktail, which was invented in London in the 1980s by the late, great Dick Bradsell. This version uses our absolutely delicious Bramble liqueur. The Bramble liqueur is EASILY good enough to drink on its own over ice, or with Prosecco or tonic... it’s delicious! But we couldn’t resist the opportunity to combine it with Colonsay Gin - Cait Sith our new, Old Tom style gin. With notes of orange, pink grapefruit and vanilla, it’s an absolutely fantastic addition to the Colonsay range. We’ve added lemon juice and some muddled blackberries and the result is a lovely sip which is tart, fresh and just sweet enough. If you have a super sweet tooth, you can add 10ml of simple syrup to the recipe below:
50ml Colonsay Gin - Cait Sith
25ml Colonsay Bramble Liqueur
25ml Lemon Juice
4 to 6 blackberries (plus more for garnish)
Muddle the blackberries in the bottom of a double old fashioned glass. Add the gin, bramble liqueur and lemon juice, then fill with crushed ice. Stir until combined and chilled, then pack with more crushed ice. Garnish with blackberries, rosemary and a charred lemon wheel
